Mike melakukan chat dengan member LPU kemarin (10/03/2011).
Berikut poin-poinnya :

• Mike was sick, some of the other guys too but he’s feeling better now.
• "Official Studio Time" in a week.
• Mike talked about iPhone apps he uses for studio recording: Beatbox (I think that’s what he said), Nanostudio, and something I couldn’t quite hear, he has more on his iPod.
• Reanimation and Hybrid Theory artwork: he showed us some sketches that he found in his closet and he showed it to us. (HT solider from 2000). Frank Maddocks did a lot of work on them.
• He mentioned that he started art when he was young (3-4 years old), before he got into music, he got into piano because his mom thought it’d be good for college admissions. He ended up quitting piano lessons.
• He mentioned Fort Minor, no plans in the future.
• Robot Boy live: it’d be hard because there’s more than 15 overlayed vocals, he doesn’t know how that’d work but if they did it’d be a really stripped down version.
• He showed us some paintings behind him that he collects and one painting he did with Gary Baseman (in the picture, the pink one) and another one (blue one, screenshot below) that he did.
• No project with Skylar Grey in the future, nor with anyone else. He doesn’t really talk to Holly Brook anymore.
• He mentioned When They Come For Me on SNL, they thought it’d be a really good live song so they decided to do it on SNL. Blackout was another alternative but they had to pick one and picked WTCFM.
• He doesn’t have a favorite color.
• Favorite live song: He said he likes playing Bleed it Out but it changes often.
• He switched from Blackberry to the iPhone because everything he has is pretty much on Apple and he liked the apps and games.
• He mentioned DJ Lethal and that he doesn’t follow him so he didn’t know about the comments DJ Lethal said, if there was a fight to be had that Joe and DJ Lethal would be capable settling it on their own.
• LP are hoping to do more LPU Summits.
• Another tour after Europe with plenty of breaks for writing or “whatever”.
• Mike said he’s sorry that they didn’t hit a lot of cities in the US, they would have liked to. He said they need to hit more places, Canada in particular, Mexico as well. Then he said…that people in Europe people just hop on a plane, train, any form of transportation and go to a show. He said that the North American people should learn that… (harsh , Mike.)
